A lot of people in Washington have made a living by piecing together a series of short-term gigs – two, four and six years at a time. Yet some of those same folks want to dismiss the jobs that building the Keystone Pipeline will create because they are, in their words, only "temporary."
Winning an election does not guarantee a lifetime of employment, and neither does getting a job the Keystone Pipeline. But both provide the opportunity to build a career, provide for a family and move our country forward.
The men and women of America’s Building Trades Unions believe there is dignity in all work. We call on the “temporary” workers at both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue to support the Keystone Pipeline.
Call 1-866-228-3314 to tell your Member of Congress to support the Keystone XL Pipeline! Tell them we need to put America back to work NOW!
"I hear people talk about temporary jobs on this pipeline, but I’ve been in temporary jobs all my life—it's called the construction industry. At a time when America needs jobs, these jobs are vital to my family and thousands like mine. You can call them temporary jobs if you want to—the label's not important, the job is."
